Days ahead busy with giving our little 1960s caravan a face paint ready for her inaugural DJ Selections Tour in July. Planning out her colour scheme with the help of some retro fabric designs.

Venice Biennale

Great news to hear that Sally Taylor has been selected to take part in Afternoon Tea : Works on Paper as part of the 'UK at the Venice Biennale' programme 30 May – 12 June, Venice, Italy.

Landmarks - Rob Moore

In a change from our normal Thursday night openings, Landmarks opens on Saturday 9th April 6-9pm. Rob will be around for a chat and as usual we will be keeping the wine flowing.

Alongside Rob's work, in DJ Selections is work by York based artist Jamie Barbor.

Andreas Ruthi - Following in the Tracks of Turner

Andreas Ruthi, lecturer in Fine Art at Newport along with his students followed in the tracks of Turner and his contemporaries along the Wye Valley.

New Publication

A new publication documenting 40 years of painting by Rob Moore will be available throughout his exhibition 6th April - 14th May. Rob will be around to sign copies at his Private View on Sat 9th April 6 - 8pm. All profits from the sale of the book will go to Rainbow, a childrens hospice in Leicester.

Wishing Cendrine Rovini all the best in this intriguing exhibition - Cabinet de Curiosités Contemporaines, 19th May -23rd July - Galerie Da-End (Paris).  For UK collectors Duckett and Jeffreys hold a small selection of Cendrine's exquisite drawings.

So pleased that Emma Lawrenson has agreed to produce a range of limited edition prints for our DJ Selection. Do come and delve into our drawers.

"I'm influenced greatly by the simplicity and bold use of colour in the work of Ellsworth Kelly and feel that screen printing is the perfect tool in which to create work of this nature. Screen printing enables me to produce smooth, flat and crisp images, exploring shape and form through the layering of colours, texture and painterly marks. "

Emma began printmaking in 1991 and graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1998.

She recently won the 'Flourish Award' for excellence in printmaking, and has forthcoming exhibitions at Dean Clough Gallery, Halifax and Huddersfield Art Gallery. Emma will be exhibiting her work in a solo show at Duckett and Jeffreys in 2012. In the meantime we wish her all the best with her busy schedule.
